Power of Music

Music can be defined as:
Vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion(according to Google search) or
The science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity or
vocal, instrumental, or mechanical sounds having rhythm, melody, or harmony(merriam-websters dictionary).
What I will add to all the definitions above is “which has a great power to influence it’s hearers”.

I remember when P-Square’ Forever(if you are my girl, I’ll take you round the world…) came out, I was so carried away that I wanted to get married. That’s what music can do to one. Music can bring you face to face with reality or take you far from reality like that song did to me. Maybe that’s why girls love blues and the men are so carried away with hip hop, *just saying*.
The richest folks in the world are musicians, that tells you how much music can have its hold on people. You can tell a person from the genre of songs he’s taken to. I want to categorically tell you that music makes every generation. It’s sad that the music filling the street in this generation has not encouraged youths and teenagers to face the realities of life, take opportunities and become better. Every new music star thinks until he wears long chains, sag the trousers, wear an oversize T-shirt with some undescribable hair cut, he isn’t a mega star yet. So aspiring music stars follow this trend. It’s the norm and must be followed…
